As chief financial officer (CFO), Jerome is responsible for NACCHO’s financial functions including accounting, audit, contracts, and grants. As a member of the leadership team, he shares the responsibility for the attainment of the organization’s strategic and operational goals. His career spans more than 30 years of varied experience in financial management, Federal Government contracts, business leadership, and organizational strategy.
Before joining NACCHO in January 2017, he served as the CFO for a division of Sheppard Pratt – the largest private, nonprofit provider of varied mental health and social services programs. Previously, Jerome was the CFO for the Baltimore City Health Department – with a workforce of 800 employees and a budget of $126 million.
Jerome is proficient at establishing systems, processes, and controls that mitigate risk and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines, and he is adept at team building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external business partners.
Jerome earned a Master of Business Administration, Master of Accounting, and a Bachelor of Science in Business/Information Systems.
